Kari Jobe Signs With Sparrow Records And Great Music For Mother’s Day!

Kari Jobe Signs with Sparrow Records

Dove Award winner Kari Jobe, one of today’s top-selling artists and most respected worship leaders, has just signed a worldwide agreement with Sparrow Records, joining a roster that includes noted acts from Amy Grant and Audrey Assad to Steven Curtis Chapman and Matthew West. Best known for praise hits like “I’m Singing,” “Revelation Song,” and “Healer,” Kari is also the worship pastor at Gateway Church in Southlake, TX.

“I’m honored and feel very blessed to now be part of the EMI family,” says Jobe. “The last few years of my ministry has grown and reached farther than I ever dreamed! I’m so excited to see what the Lord has for me next.”

Jobe will be entering the studio this month to record her new album with producer Ed Cash (Chris Tomlin, Casting Crowns). It’s scheduled to release this fall. In the meantime, welcome Kari by saying hey on Facebook or follow her on Twitter for the latest updates from the writing process to recording in the studio.

Mom’s Love Amy Grant! Get Her Latest Album For Just $5 at Family Christian Stores

Somewhere Down the Road, the latest album from music legend Amy Grant, is only five dollars at Family Christian Stores right now. You’ll get twelve songs- six of them brand new & 2 previously unreleased songs. The theme for the album is stories & journeys. Amy has always been a great storyteller and many of her most impactful songs have come from her own journey as she sings about the honesty of life, it’s joys and struggles, and ultimately the hope she has found in faith and love. Topics range from being honest with yourself & God (“Better Than a Hallelujah”), waiting for answers that come over time (“Overnight”), and learning to listen to people before ‘fixing’ them (“Come Into My World”), resilience in the face of fear (“Unafraid”), walking in someone else’s shoes (“Third World Woman”), assurance that you are not forgotten (“Arms of Love (2010 Version)”) and much more.

The album is being hailed as “a treasure” (Christianity Today) and “a beautiful musical tapestry” (Billboard). Ladies Home Journal says Grant sounds “better than ever” on Somewhere Down the Road– and for only $5 you’ll get a great deal and an amazing Mother’s Day gift.

Great Music for Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is this Sunday, May 8th- a perfect opportunity to give great music to the one who gave you life. If you think she’d like what The Washington Times calls “a collection of non-stop, hit-worthy and profoundly meaningful songs that are uplifting, danceable, and radiate joy,” then check out Mandisa’s new album, What If We Were Real.

Or maybe mom wants the latest from “today’s brightest worship leaders and songwriters.” Crosswalk says that’s what you’ll get on Passion: Here for You, the No.1 live worship album featuring new songs from Chris Tomlin, David Crowder*Band, and Christy Nockels (who offers this amazing performance).

If your mother is late to discover new talent because she’s always wrapped up in helping others, maybe she can unwrap Audrey Assad’s The House You’re Building. iTunes named it the Christian & Gospel Breakthrough album of the Year, and Amazon’s editors put it at the very top of the Best Christian Music of 2010 list.

Also, Matthew West’s Something To Say and Chris Tomlin’s See The Morning are on sale at Family Christian Stores right now for only $5. These are also great gift options for your mother on Mother’s Day!
