Student Memories

When I was in college, getting my degree, I took a class called Systematic Theology. The textbook I used for that class was Charles Hodge. Not having read any of the other textbooks with the same title I was immediately able to come on board as a fan of Hodge. I remember being frustrated by his incorporating blocks of text that were quotations from ancient texts presented in the ancient languages of greek and latin. Since I did not know greek or latin, that part of the chapter reading was unprofitable to me. In the ccel version of the Charles Hodge work, the block quotes are not there so reading Hodge on the ccel site will be a totally profitable experience
